GreenFloors Shipping and Handling Policy:

The $5.95 S/H charge is for 4 Free Samples. If you order 5-8 Free Samples you will be billed $11.90, 9-12 will cost  $17.95 and so on.  All other shipping costs will be priced on a per order basis.

Shipping charges are typically determined by product weight, size, and ship-to-address, therefore the cost of shipping is not included in the TOTAL price. For orders (other than Free Sample Orders) you will receive an order confirmation. We will not process your order until you approve the shipping cost. 

We use UPS or Fed Ex depending on size weight.

If the return is due to a GreenFloors mistake or manufacturing defect, we will pay for the return shipping.

 Conditions for other returns:

-     If you receive defective or damaged merchandise, notify us within 48 hours so that we may begin processing your claim.

-     All items, other than defective products, must be returned in their original unopened packaging and condition.

-     Products may be returned only if defective and only for an exact replacement. Due to the fact that most of our products come from Mother Nature please keep in mind that there will be color and pattern variations. Also note that samples ordered of the same product may not give a fully accurate representation of the color variation of the product ordered (carpets are produced in dye lots, bamboo often comes from different parts of a forest and different production runs.)

     -     Must be pre-approved.

Our criteria to make sure flooring products are green:

Does it contain recycled materials?   Many of the GreenFloors durable plush carpet styles are made from recycled plastic food and soda bottles (PET) containers.  Plastic bottles are very resistant to staining and retaining their original color, better than nylon carpets.  PET fibers also resist abrasive wear, soil, and static electricity.  GreenFloors also offers carpets made from recycled nylon and carpet tiles made from old car tires.  Our carpets have performance warranties that are equal to or better than those offered with other name brands made from virgin materials. 

Does it come from renewable materials?  Our bamboo, linoleum, and cork floorings come from rapidly renewable sources.  For example, bamboo grows so rapidly that its harvest cycle is usually three to five years.  This is far more desirable than cutting down a 50 year old hardwood tree.  Cork is the bark of the Cork Oak Tree and can be harvested regularly without harm to the tree.

Are the products harvested and manufactured in a sound manner?  Our hardwood flooring comes from well-managed forests that are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC ensures the wood does not come from clear cutting or ancient forests.

Can it be recycled in the future?  As an example, 100% of our commercial carpet is made from Evolution nylon which qualifies for recycling, thus preventing the carpet from going into landfills in the future.

Does the product have an extended life cycle?  Our linoleum floors last 40 years and our carpeting tiles made from radial rubber tires can last 20 yrs or more. 

Does it come from natural, earth friendly biodegradable materials?  Our wool carpets, bamboo and cork floorings meet these criteria.

Will it impact indoor air quality?  Our adhesives do not give off gas volatile organic compounds (VOC) nor does our bamboo adhesive contain formaldehyde.  All of our carpets qualify for the Carpet and Rug Institutes Indoor Air Quality green label.
